Arnica montana is an ethnobotanical flowering plant originated in Europe. Many people use Arnica as a remedy to heal bruises after plastic surgery. Arnica can be applied as a cream or it can be ingested as homeopathic pills or tablets. As a cream, it may reduce bruising and provide pain relief, depending on its concentration. On the other hand, homeopathic pills contain insignificant concentrations of Arnica and have not been scientifically proven to diminish postoperative bruising.
