At what age can I start applying Botox?

Droopy eyelid surgery has a 90% to 93% success rate. This means that 9 out of 10 patients will notice a significant improvement in eyelid height. Most surgeons interpret success as raising the droopy eyelid to within 0.5 mm of the expected position and achieving symmetry between both eyes. To consider the surgery a success, the difference between the height of both eyelids should be 1.0 mm or less.

About 7% of ptosis surgeries are not successful; that is, eyelid height remains the same or just slightly improved. This outcome is more common in cases of congenital ptosis, droopy eyelid related to trauma, or with individuals who have had previous ptosis operations.
