Bruising after eyelid surgery is normal and should be expected. The amount and duration of bruising will depend on the type of procedure, your predisposition to bruise easily and whether you are taking blood thinners. Having said that, in most cases bruising usually lasts anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks.
