A brow lift may be referred to as a forehead lift if the procedure targets the brow region and the area between the brows and the lower forehead. Most brow lifts are performed by making the incisions in the scalp or just in front of the hairline, which allows the surgeon to raise the forehead and eyebrow as one unit. An endoscopic brow lift, for example, raises the drooping brows to a natural and youthful position – correcting the hooding on the upper eyelids – but at the same time improves frown lines, horizontal forehead wrinkles, and creases that develop on the bridge of the nose. Therefore, most cosmetic brow lift procedures reposition the brow tissues and correct forehead descent, resulting in a rejuvenating effect on the upper third of the face.
