Although the term browpexy is often used as a synonym for a brow lift, it is better to distinguish between these procedures. A brow lift addresses brow descent by lifting the eyebrow to a more natural, desired position. On the other hand, a browpexy functions as a stabilizing procedure for brow tissue and helps to prevent further descent of the eyebrow when an upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed. Compared to a brow lift, a browpexy is a less invasive operation and has a faster recovery. It also has a significantly lower cost.
