A patient may be dissatisfied with their brow lift operation if brow height or contour is different than desired. During the preoperative consultation, the patient and surgeon should firmly establish expectations for what a brow lift can and cannot achieve and make decisions about the amount of brow elevation.
It is prudent to wait two to three months after the operation to determine the final result, as tissues may settle, and the brow height may change when all the swelling is gone. If the patient is not satisfied after this period, the surgeon can do a touch-up to improve upon the original result. Touch-ups can also be performed to correct alopecia, asymmetry and as part of scar revision.
