Surgery is the best way to raise a droopy eyelid. In acquired cases, the surgery can be done as an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia. In congenital cases, the surgery is more laborious and may require sedation. There are no medications that can permanently raise an eyelid. This surgery does not leave a visible scar in most cases.
