The type of anesthesia for a brow lift is selected based on the brow lift technique, the patient’s age, health status, and preference. A direct brow lift, which requires small incisions above the eyebrows, may be performed under local anesthesia. The open brow lift, such as a coronal lift, or the endoscopic alternative, requires intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. The latter is preferred when other procedures are included in the surgical plan, such as lower blepharoplasty and cheek implants.
