A direct browplasty is a type of brow lift that raises the brow by making surgical incisions directly above the eyebrow hairs. Even though the surgeon places the incisions in a natural skin crease, scars can still be quite visible, especially the first 6 to 8 months after surgery. Due to this, the operation is usually reserved for cases when a functional browlift is necessary, such as when raising the brow to restore vision, and not as a cosmetic operation.
