A surgeon with experience in brow lift surgery will release the brow ligaments that pull the brow down and lift the brow-forehead unit to the desired height. New adhesions will form between the skull and the underside of the forehead-brow. Therefore, the new brow position should remain indefinitely unless the patient loses significant weight, creating a deflation effect on the brow.
